Yixing Chen is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Simulation Research Group. He is currently involved in the development of EnergyPlus and a web-based retrofit toolkit for small and medium office and retail buildings, named Commercial Building Energy Saver (CBES). He got his Ph.D. in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Syracuse University. His Ph.D. research focuses on the development of a modeling and simulation platform for performance-based design of low-energy and high IEQ buildings.

He received his M.S. in the Department of Building Science from National University of Singapore, and his B.S degree in Building Science Department from Tsinghua University in China.
