How to solve "ProcessScheduleInput: ..." problems?

I'm trying to model a two floors office building in OpenStudio. After my preparations complete, I try to run the simulation but it has several warnings. The error I encountered is Process Schedule Error. I tried to look for the solution but the one I saw linked a video that shows how to modify the shading control of a model. However, I don't have any shading device on my model. One thing I thought was one of the main root of the problems are model errors like this and this. I'm fairly new to OpenStudio and Building Energy Modeling, so I hope I can get the answer of my problem here, TIA.

Similar issue reported here (i.e. mismatch between schedule intervals and simulation timestep) - similar fix (i.e. adjust timestep duration or schedule intervals), or instead interpolate.


The more severe interzone construction layer mismatch errors are easy to fix - make sure adjacent surfaces reference constructions with the same layers (if asymmetrical, in reverse order, see here).

I have a follow up question because recently I tried to simulate the model again but a new problem occurs. It's related to convexity of the building. There are several errors there, "...vertex 3 is colinear with previous and next", "...The vertex points has been reprocessed as Sides", and "...collinear points that have been removed". I found similar questions regarding this, one propose to use SketchUp to solve it, another answer linked a video of troubleshooting that also use SketchUp. Is SketchUp necessary to resolve this problem? Can't I just use OpenStudio to fix this?

@Daffa since this is a new problem, please search for "openstudio convexity" or similar phrases to review existing posts for help. If you still can't find a solution, then please make a new question post.

@Daffa, for whatever reason your follow-up question didn't pop up (when I re-logged to UMH) - (?). In any case, I suspect your collinearity troubles are linked to this issue. Open your OSM with a text editor, and CTRL-F the problem surface. If the surface is adjacent to another, both should share the same vertices (yet in reverse order). You should be able to manually delete the "alien" vertex. Be safe - first try on a copy of your OSM.
