Misc/Plug loads in Beopt

Been modeling in BEopt for a bit now and am wondering what other people use for their plug loads and what a realistic miscellaneous load looks like in an multifamily unit or even single family home. I am asking because the Misc loads in BEopt always rivals HVAC and DHW consumption. Currently using 1.0 plug load. I know they account for a lot of different loads in a home but the amount of electrical consumption seems extremely high. I know this can vary from person to person but I'd like to know if this is accurate or not. Any info or links to studies would be helpful! Thank you!

It is not unexpected that DHW/plug loads should dominate in large multifamily, especially in more efficient designs due to the square-cube law. I don't have any specifics but for context the help files says BEopt calculates plug-loads as 1108.1 + 180.2Beds + 0.278CFA, whereas ANSI/RESNET 301-2019 specifies individual loads in Table 4.2.2.5. The loads not otherwise covered by BEopt amount to: 413+69Beds + 0.91CFA; the first two terms are televisions (or other glowing rectangles in the modern home), and the latter is truly miscellaneous.
