controller type 166 was stuck 0 percent of the time during simulation

I am a beginner at TRNSYS. I am trying to run a simulation of a packaged terminal air conditioner system in a residential building. The problem is whenever I run the simulation I get the message that time elapsed is 0. I also get a warning that says "controller type 166 was stuck 0 percent of the time during simulation". I don't understand what is happening and how to fix this problem.

Trnsys has three levels of notifications. A "notice" is for information only, a "warning" may be a potential problem, and a "fatal" stops the simulation. In this case you're getting a warning so you have to determine if it is something of concern or not. Because the controller is not getting stuck at all there is nothing that you need to do. If the warning were telling you that the controller was stuck (i.e. it reached its max allowable number of state changes in a given timestep) some significant percentage of the simulation (5 or 10% of the time, for example) then you might want to look at why it was happening.

thank your for responding to my question. I see what you mean and it makes sense. It is just that whenever I run simulation I get all zeroes for all power consumption of packaged terminal air conditioner type 144. so I assumed that this warning was the reason why I got results that doesn't make sense. The way I modeled my system is i put all the loads and schedules and set points through TRNBuild so it is all contained in type 56. yet it seems like the air conditioner never starts and i can't figure out why.

Type144 takes a control signal to tell it if it is on or off. Have you set up a thermostat that sends a control signal to Type144? You may need to move a setpoint out of the building model to accomplish this.
