creating wall fan in energyplus

I am little confused about creating (wall fans) in energyplus , i mean ordinary fans that doesn't attached to any HVAC system or something . i need to use them in cooling a space in a certain time . i found ( ”Fan:SystemModel”, Fan:ConstantVolume, Fan:OnOff, Fan:VariableVolume,) but they require inlet and outlet air node name which make me think that these groups are only for HVAC system fans and there is another way to simulate these ordinary fans. if these are the only way to create them i want to understand what should i do about inlet and outlet air node name input

If I undertand correctly you mean a simple fan that recirculates air in a space. A simple wall fan cannot cool a space, instead it is a thermal load. However, a fan can contribute to thermal comfort but I am not sure if this is your question.

I think you are referring to a ceiling fan. You can watch this brief tutorial to learn more about the modeling process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9qjW...

The fan you were looking at is part of the mechanical systems (e.g., fans in a 4-pipe system). For ceiling fans, you need to define them under the Electric Equipment. But I don't think you see a big energy-saving unless the ceiling fan increases the cooling setpoints significantly. If you are looking for energy conservation measures, natural ventilation would show a higher impact.

You could also create a HVAC air loop with just the fan and a 100 % outdoor air system and a zone and then schedule that somehow so it brings in unconditioned outdoor air when you want it.
