Find surface from the error

Hi,

I'm running an energy simulation in design builder and i received the following error.

* Severe * DayltgAveInteriorReflectance: Multiplier > 1.0 for window SERRECDE:SERRECDE_WALL_1_0_0_0_0_26_WIN in Zone=SERRECDE:SERRECDE

Can you please guide on how to find this particular surface from my model either in design builder or in other application.

Try to go to "Model Options" > "Advanced" > "Lump similar wondows on a surface" and deselect it. It should run now.

Thank you Ag. It is working now, but I'm curious to know how can we find the specific surfacein the design builder that is causing errors in general.

You cannot search for a surface name in DesignBuilder. You can see a surface name in Output tab in Model Data. To see it you have to go in Model Options > Simulation > Output and then Check 'Allow custom output'. But you will not able to search for a surfece name in DesignBuilder. My way to do this is to export the model in IDF file, then open it through a text editor (e.g. Notepad++), finally search the surface causing error through 'Find' command
