Include an additional heat flux through an external surface with EnergyPlus

Hi all, I was wondering if it anyone might know if it is possible to include a heat flux through an external surface in EnergyPlus? I thought it would be fairly trivial via EMS, but I don't seem to be able to do it... Thank you very much all for your time, Furstrated

With the SurfaceProperty:HeatBalanceSourceTerm object you can add an additional heat source to the outside or inside boundary heat balance of a surface. You can find it on page 424 in the I/O reference.
