Variable Refrigerant Flow gas-powered auxiliary heat

I am modeling an air cooled VRF system that is designed to be heated by Gas-fired Heaters when the OA temperature is below 40F. Is there a way for me to change the fuel type of the auxiliary heat?

I looked into changing the fuel type to Gas using an EMS whenever the OAT is below 40F, but it looks like everything in the condenser side would be Gas Powered (including pumps and fans).

How about DISabling the VRF completely below 40F AND ENabling a separate gas heater system at the same outdoor air temp? VRF is a zone system, so you can use a gas-fired heating system in the same zone (or multiple zones)
