lighting constant schedule only

I am trying to apply time/hourly schedules to the lighting and loads I have identified under "Space Types". It seems I am only able to drag and drop "constant schedules" into the schedules column. It won't let me insert schedules under my "Ruleset schedules". My workaround has just been to set a percentage, ie. lighting A only runs for 6 hours/day therefore 25%. This whoever does not ensure that I have correct electric demand profiles, as the loads are just divided into a smaller load that runs all the time.

Confirm that the ruleset schedules you tried to drop onto the loads are fractional schedules.

AHA! Of course, my apologies, newbie here! Not sure what I was trying to enter earlier, but alas, a fractional schedule <= 1 is what I needed.

While we are on this topic, is there a schedule that will automatically apply a 1 value to nighttime hours? For example, outdoor lighting runs on photosensors that automatically define when the lighting is on. I know that yearly this will be an avg of 12 hrs/day, however, due to my northern latitude, the "on" hours will not always be, for example, 6 PM to 6 AM, but varies throughout the year. Is there any way to automate this?

I found the answer to my follow-up question here: https://unmethours.com/question/24811...

Thanks @DavidGoldwasser - I don't know how to properly link you?

@re-measure that was close but my name has space in it which makes it a bit odd but works to tag.
