Hi, I defined an electric heater that is used in individual bathrooms using “Service Hot Water” and a “Plant Loop”. The water used equipment name as show in the figure is “AUS Water Fixture for Hot Water”. Now, I want to add five of these as I have five bathrooms with the same configuration. I could not find out how to do this. I also do not see “AUS Water Fixture for Hot Water” in my model at all. Please advise. Thanks
If I'm understanding the question correctly, you would create individual plant loops for each floor and connect all fixtures from a single floor to the respective plant loop.
You would still have a single service hot water tab, as you have pictured above; however it would contain multiple fixtures, each of which would be connected to their own plant loop (which will each contain their own boiler, heat pump, or whatever you have as your heat source. So you will have one of the loops pictured below for each floor (with however many fixtures you have per floor).
Thank you. But the situation I have is that I have 5 identical and independent electrical heaters in a villa. I assume the process is to model one heater and some how multiply by 5. However, I could not find where I can add such multiplier. In the "loads" tab under "Space Types", I cannot add the water heater as a load.
Right. I'm not sure I understand what's stopping you from having 5 copies of the loop I have pictured above (?).
