How to split and merge spaces in detail edit mode of eQUEST?

I have a building model made in eQUEST and now in detailed edit mode. I want to split or merge spaces in a zone. Thanks in advance for any help

This is not easy to do from the detailed mode, and requires you to manually edit the .inp file in a text editor.

Create a copy of the .inp file and then adjust the vertices of the geometry as required.

There is a lot that can go wrong with this process so take your time and work cautiously.

This is probably the single biggest disadvantage to using eQUEST.

Good luck.

You might want to try going back to the Wizard version of the model, redoing the zoning there, and then using a text editor to merge the two files (one with the correct zoning, one with the other properties of the detailed edit that you are trying to preserve). I agree with the previous answer that it is best to avoid doing this in Detailed Edit mode.
