Daylight Simulation

I just want to ask if OpenStudio (2.6) has the capability to perform daylight simulation like other simulation tools have? As there is no detail description given about the daylight simulation capability of OpenStudio like advantage, limitation, results formats and interpretation of the results or requirement of the different Green Building certification fullfill by OpenStudio.

Yes, you can do daylight simulations with OpenStudio. You can let EnergyPlus calculate the daylighting (for what that's worth), or you can use this measure to have Radiance do an annual daylight simulation and embed new lighting control schedules into the EnergyPlus model automatically. This is all documented here:

This measure has not been updated in some time, save to ensure that it still runs with the latest versions of OpenStudio (which it does). It requires specific model objects be placed on the OSM and be wired up correctly, which is covered in the tutorial linked above. It calculates many of the useful daylight metrics -- save for ASE which we do not believe is useful.
