Combining water heater with heat pump?

I'm trying to model a heat pump and a water heater with a shared water tank, so heat pump (outside of the building) will heat up water in water heater (inside the building) and then this water will be used for heating and for hot water service. Similar question was asked before, but there wasn't heat pump object in OS back then so I suppose now there should will be a slightly better solution then IDF editor? What would be best objects to model such system?

You can use this plant loop structure:

air to water heat pump - Domestic Water Tank (DWT) / Heating Water Tank (HWT) - water coil.

The DWH and HWT are in parallel. And they can be modeled with water heater with 0 efficiency.

I... coudn't find in library almost none of the things you listed. Closest thing is water to air heat pump when being in thermal zones. Could you post a picture of such loop? And explain anything more, 'cause I can't see how this would work in my case. Here is a picture specifying what I have in mind and what I'm trying to model.

As for the air-to-water heat pump, please read InputOutputReference page 1814 on Coil:WaterHeating:AirToWaterHeatPump.

Water tank, if it needs to be modeled within a loop, can be readily modeled by a 'WaterHeater' with 0 efficiency. This object provides a source side connection, which can be connected to the AirToWaterHeatPump.
