What are some of the good resources to learn BCVTB and energy management/modeling?

I am a newbie wrt to this field (energy management), but with a CS background. I also haven't had any formal introduction per se. I found the BCVTB manual to be useful, but only to a certain extent. TBF, it only has a very brief explanation of the functionalities. Even common sites we usually check out like YouTube, etc to learn stuff has no/low amount to content. As in, explanations upto the very lowest level (getting hands truly dirty) is not available.

Can somebody please provide a comprehensive list of papers/video tutorial/documentation resources one must know in the field of Energy Management in general and also for BCVTB (detailed)

(Resources along the lines of BCVTB, EnergyPlus and energy management in general also will be helpful)

For more background about how the BCVTB works, I suggest apart from the BCVTB manual, the excellent book about Ptolemy II. The BCVTB is a special configuration of Ptolemy II, hence you can check the book for the underlying technology. The book and various papers about Ptolemy II can be accessed at https://ptolemy.eecs.berkeley.edu/

For modeling of control, I suggest you also look into Modelica. See also http://www.iea-annex60.org/pubs.html for various related publications and a recent book about Modelica for building energy and control systems.
