How to reduce the impact of SHGC on energy consumption

Recently, I made a sensitivity analysis on building energy heating and cooling consumption about several parameters, such as WWR, SHGC, and thermal conductivity of envelope. I used the simple window system and the solar distribution is FullInteriorAndExterior . However the result was not good, the SHGC became the most significant even stronger than WWR and envelope. So I think there was something wrong enlarging the impact of SHGC. Is there anyone have the similar experience to solve this problem?

What do you mean by '' the result was not good'' ?

Do you expect to get some results? What are the results?

The SHGC could be a significant factor and it's depend on 1) The pourcentage of fenestration (WWR) 2) the coefficient of the SHGC (higher or lower) 3) the period of the year of your experiment 4) the U value 5) the number of panes and 6) maybe some other factors.

With an high SHGC, in summer it will increase the cooling and in winter it will decrease the heating. With a low SHGC, in summer it will decrease the cooling and in winter it will increase the heating.
