Change IDF File After Setting Up OpenStudio Project

I started a new OpenStudio project in the SketchUp Plug-in by importing an IDF file.

I have gone through the process of setting spacetypes and construction when I discovered I had an error in the original IDF file I imported.

How can I manually change the IDF file (delete those lines of the file) so that when I open and simulate the OpenStudio project it will not read in that error?

There are a number of in.idf files in the folder structure that I have tried editing but the error persists.

I hadn't realized that the .osm file is a text file (like an idf). I opened the .osm with a text editor and manually deleted the components that were giving me errors.

This may be a duplicate question but it took me quite a long time to find that out and debug my project. I hope this is helpful to others.
