How to control only cooling in summer and heating in winter in openstudio

I have set cooling availability and heating availability, and assigned to the cooling coils and heating coils. When I performed the simulation, there was some cooling in winter and heating in summer. So I chose to set cooling availability and heating availability to the air loop. It doesn't work.

Hi, I think the better way will be to select a temperature set-point high enough for cooling that it does not trigger HVAC system. you can apply same idea for heating season.

Hope this will help.

Kindest Regards

thanks for the information but is there any other way to set cooling and heating by season cause that mean i'll have to go a lot lower or Higher the current mostly used set point for heating and cooling in my city. for example i work in my research on Cairo Egypt and fukuoka Japan, in Cairo the set point used for cooling is around 22-24 which is also very common to occur in winter time, if i wanna have a temperature that will rarely occur in winter i'll probably go for 28-30 degrees which would not be accepted by the occupants as a cooling setpoint. regards

@shahin1992: By high enough I meant e.g. a set-point temperature of 50deg, which won't trigger cooling system and for heating system it could be -100deg. You could also use availability schedule for different seasons.

thank you for your reply, i deeply appreciate it. i'm using Celsius degrees here, and i don't really understand how to use season availability schedules. regards
