surface matching and degenerate surfaces in openstudio

Dear All, I am facing problem with surface matching and intersecting. I have tried almost everything. I have tried to use surface and intersecting measure as suggested by David Goldwasser in a different post. After intersecting most of the surfaces disappear and then I get errors for Degenerate surfaces and invalid dot product.

PS: I save my model in openstudio (.osm) not in sketchup (.skp) and use create spaces from diagram to model my building. Please see attached snaps of my model after surface matching. C:\fakepath\23.JPG C:\fakepath\12.JPG Thanks in advance for your help. Kindest Regards Waseem

I would add some bisecting lines to the top and bottom surfaces (that are getting lost) of the center corridor that you have there. So, redraw the corridor after deleting the first one, but before you intersect and match, activate the space by double-clicking on it (note: this depends on if you used "New Space" button or "Create Spaces from Diagram" button; the former of which you don't need to activate the space because you are still "in" the space after you extrude the height), draw additional bisections on the top/bottom surfaces so that there are no "L" shaped surfaces remaining. L shaped surfaces have caused problems in the past for me, i.e. non-convex.

Thanks @Kent Beason. You are right, it was caused by non-convex surfaces. Just to add a bit, user can find non-convex surfaces by using search tool and then modify them to make them convexed surfaces.
