Can you model internal and external shading devices at the same time?

I'm currently running simulations of a house with external blinds and I need to reduce solar gains, so I wanted to add an internal shade. Is it possible to run a simulation with both shading devices?

Can you include what software you're trying to use?

Yes, sorry I forgot. I'm using Energy Plus, v. 8.3

So you don't want an overhang and a blind, you want two different blinds on the same window? Are they controlled in the same way, or are the exterior ones static?

I have an external blind and I want to add an internal shading device, such as shades. They are controlled in the same way with a schedule.

Yes you can. Take a look at Construction:ComplexFenestrationState in Input/Output reference. I would highly recommend to use LBNLs WINDOW software to generate IDF for the window.
