Ir. arch.Bert Belmans is a PhD researcher at the Department of Architectural Engineering of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He obtained the degree of “Master of Sciences in Architectural Engineering” at the VUB in 2011. The following two years he worked as an apprentice in an architectural office. He started his PhD research under the supervision of prof. dr. ir. arch. Filip Descamps in January 2014. His research focuses on the development of an optimized, context-based, control system for an adaptive hybrid ventilation system.
