I'm new to EnergyPlus and have a question.

In the EnergyPlus documentation, the heat balance on the zone air is expressed as follows:

where Qsys represents the heating or cooling amount supplied by the HVAC system.

My question is, when defining Refrigeration Equipment objects (such as compressors, walk-ins, air chillers, etc.), is the heating/cooling capacity provided by the refrigeration system calculated similarly to the heating/cooling capacity provided by the HVAC system?

Is the Air-Chiller object considered as HVAC system ?
