Does anyone know which programs can Hello all. I am designing, and plan to build and test, several solar oven designs. I thought it would be helpful to first model a simple box oven and vary parameters such as insulation, glazing, configuration of reflectors, and--ideally--include a version that tracks the sun. What I'm looking for is the internal temperature of a zone without any HVAC equipment, based only on solar gain including reflected solar gain?through one window. Even though it's a simple insulated box, it may be asking a lot for a building energy modeling program to handle.

I flipped through the six pages of programs on BEST and searched for various keywords, but it seems impossible to tell which programs will be able to do this. Before I start downloading and testing a variety of them somewhat at random, any thoughts on programs that definitely should handle this and those that will not?
