designbuilder simulation error

Hello everyone, i have a 4 storey building that i designed and imported from Revit as gbxml to Designbuilder 7.0.2.

i want to make a performance analyses on this building with water/water heat pump but when i go in the simulation it gives me this error for all the spaces

" .......... is specified as having a heated floor but no floor surfaces in the zone have an internal source set in their Construction. Please check the internal source position of any heated floor constructions. If all internal sources are correct, please refer to program help under Radiant Surface Data section. "

Can anyone help me to deal with this problem?

hello, I'm assuming that you want to model a radiant heated floor. You need to ensure that the internal source is checked on in the floor assembly construction dialog. as the error says, refer to the design builder program help.

If you already checked on the internal source box, then you need to ensure that the internal source is thermally closer to the inner surface than the outer surface. If the total R value from the internal source location to the inner surface is greater than the R value from the internal source to the outer surface, you will get this error. Basically, this ensures that the majority of the heat is going to zone, not the ground.

I'm referring to the ground floor construction layer assembly dialog. There is tab on this dialog called "internal source".

you need to edit the ground floor assembly "heated floor - internal" to get to the construction assembly dialog. rt click on "heated floor-internal" and select edit. Then follow my previous advice.

hi Greg , thanks i found the place for internal source box but its already in the most possible inner place i mean i attached the image its default value is 2 if i changed to 3 it says its not possible 0 is not possible only 1 and 2 is possible and when i try 1 it comes more outside layer and when i run simulation it still gives me the same error, i also tried changing 1D to 2 D and tried some arrangements for tube spacing but still i got the same error when i run simulation

Hi Neo. Confirm that the zones which have the heated floor component in detailed hvac also have the correct ground floor construction assigned to the zones ground floor. also, I'm noticing that the ground floor assembly doesn't look correct. I'm assuming that you want the EPS insulation as the outer most layer, then the concrete. what is the inner most layer? If you want to place the internal source within the concrete layer, you can split the concrete layer into 2 separate layers. (2) 2" layers to make a 4" slab. locate the internal source between these layers.
