Construction Sets Not Loading From Library

I'm new to OpenStudio and working my way through the Brackney, et. al book. When attempting to open the primary school construction set from the library by dragging and dropping it on the navigation pane, the application freezes and I have to close it. So far, some things I've tried:

  1. I moved from the ASHRAE 2010 library to the ASHRAE 2019 as the default.
  2. I uninstalled the software using the maintenance tool, checked/deleted my directories of any instances of OpenStudio (.osm), restarted my computer, and redownloaded the application.
  3. I waited an hour to see if the construction set would eventually load.
  4. I dragged and dropped a "Plenum" from the construction sets library to determine if a smaller item would work, which it did. I'm assuming the library file is not corrupted.

For reference, I'm on a 2017 Mac Pro using the 1.7.0 x86 Application download. Each time the app has frozen, I've gone into the Activity Monitor and Force Quit all instances of OpenStudio and restarted my computer several times.Any help in how to correct the issue would appreciated.

I was able to reproduce this issue, I think it might be a bug in OpenStudio Application 1.7.0 related to the new search bar in the library. I've filed this issue to track it: https://github.com/openstudiocoalitio.... In the meantime, can you try using OpenStudio Application 1.6.0? Do you see this same behavior in version 1.6.0?

Reverting to version 1.6.0 fixed the problem. Thank you for the help.

Thanks for reporting the issue, we're working on a fix, we may have a patch to 1.7.0 if we can fix this.
