Adding HVAC Measures

I am going to analyze energy savings for several DOE reference buildings in various climate zones. I have a feeling that the same HVAC type (e.g. heat pump or chilled water system) would be sized differently for each climate zone based on humidity and temperature. If I am making measures for each building type in different climate zones, would I need a separate measure for each climate zone? If not, how would the sizing be taken care of? I should mention, I am planning to use the Parametric Analysis Tool in Open Studio for the simulations to show optimization results to determine best practice for various building types.

Typically people use the EnergyPlus autosizing feature to calculate the correct location dependent sizes automatically. Going the autosizing route would avoid the need to "switch" on climate zone within the measure. The DOE reference buildings are already setup for autosizing.

If you need to switch on climate zone the OpenStudio Model does define an optional ClimateZone object to contain this information, but I do not believe that the OpenStudio prototype buildings are encoded with this object. @David Goldwasser might be able to flesh that out for you.
