Sketchup generates an error when using the OpenStudio extension to export the IDF. How to add a photovoltaic curtain wall correctly?
I created the photovoltaic curtain wall by creating a shading surface group and then using the“Add photovoltaic” script.But when I try to export the IDF it generates the warning below:
Warning: Object of type 'OS:ShadingControl' and named 'Shading Control 1' does not control any SubSurfaces, will not be translated
How can I make the fenestration area unshaded when adding photovoltaics? Or is there a better way to add the photovoltaic curtain wall?

An OS:ShadingControl requires one or more SubSurface(s) ... to control, as a means to model drawn roller shades, adjustments in slat angle of blinds, etc. This has nothing to do with PV objects in your model. Click on the single OS:ShadingControl object in your model to double check. Long story short, OS warns of an incomplete ShadingControl object, which it won't translate. No harm done.
