Why surfaces cleared when I edit the idf file from the editor? [closed]

good morning, I have a problem with a model saved as IDF happens every time you save a change in the idf editor of EnergyPlus and then attempt abirlo in SketchUp model with Openstudio legacity plugin, it appears incomplete as if you erase parts, thank for your help.

What kind of editing are you doing in idf editor? Also I'd you save close and re-open idf files in SketchUp (without going to idf editor) are you seeing the same issues.

This shouldn't affect what you see in the plugin at all. I'm wondering if you diff the before and after IDF what they look like. I suspect that your model might be getting messed out of sync in the legacy plugin, and that editing it in IDF editor isn't the problem, rather it is closing and re-opening the IDF which exposes that it was out of sync. If you want to send some before and after files to OpenStudio@NREL.gov we can take a look at them.

I got your files and looked at them with the legacy and new plugin. The only difference I saw with the "after" idf is that a site shading surface was missing. Maybe I will need a screenshot of what you are seeing (either posted or emailed). You might also have EnergyPlus generate a DXF file and see if that looks like you expected.
