Error when running ShadingProject example (linking matlab and BCVTB and EnergyPlus)

Hello,

I'm starting to use BCVTB as I need it to run a co-simulation with EneregyPlus. I am using MLEP toolbox and run the ShadingProject example that comes with the toolbox, but I've got the following error:

* Severe * ExternalInterface: Socket communication received error value " 1" at time = 0.10 hours.

* ~~~ * ExternalInterface: Flag from server " 1".

* Fatal * Error in ExternalInterface: Check EnergyPlus *.err file.

I used EnergyPlus V8.0.0 and Matlab R2015a.

Can anyone help me?

I suggest using the BCVTB as opposed to the MLEP toolbox and seeing if you are getting the same problem. By doing so you may get support from the MLEP as well as the BCVTB developers. It may also be good to upgrade your E+ files to a recent version of E+. Most developers may no longer use version 8.0 which will make it difficult for them to reproduce your issue.
