OpenStudio - simulation of open doors several times a day

Hi everyone,

I need your help because I need to simulate in OpensStudio two open doors (size 2m x 1m) and another one (size 3m x 4m) only one minute but several times a day between outside and inside. I can't figure out how to program these openings. Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks in advance

For a crude way to do it, schedule your infiltration object.

For example, you can use a SpaceInfiltrationDesignFlowRate object (ZoneInfiltration:DesignFlowRate in E+), with an Air changes per hour value of P (=peak flow, say 6 ACH), and a schedule: set it to 1 when the doors are open, and for eg 0.1 (=0.6 ACH) for the rest of time.

Since you say it's one minute at a time, it's probably best to calculate average ACHs and enter a schedule with less granularity, but that depends on the goal of your analysis.

I need to know the heat loss and gain of my building and I need to be accurate. In fact, I found out today that the big door will be open for about ten minutes rather than one. That's why I asked the question. Is it the same in OpenStudio as in E+ or do I have to use a measures ?

same in openstudio. You can even do that in the OpenStudioApplication.
