Create .rdd without running simulation
Is there a way to get the .rdd file straight from an idf file without running any simulation? I would like to get all the possible output variables based on the objects in the idf file.

I am pretty sure it's not possible. The quickest way to get the .rdd is to run EnergyPlus with an abbreviated run period -- e.g., one day instead of annual simulation. (Or maybe you can just do a sizing run?)
