Have you tried downloading from GitHub instead of the OpenStudio site? https://github.com/NREL/OpenStudio/re... https://github.com/NREL/Radiance/rele...

Let me know if those don't work.

I guess we'll need a bit more info than that, then. Which links did you try, exactly? What platform are you downloading for? What happens when you try? Where are you located?

I am trying to download "radiance-5.0.a-win64.exe" and "OpenStudio-1.7.3.a3fbc7ed18-Win64.exe" from these links:

https://github.com/NREL/Radiance/rele... https://github.com/NREL/OpenStudio/re... https://www.openstudio.net/developers

but, I receive a network error after a while and the download fails and doesn't complete. Before, I didn't have problem with downloading openstudio or radiance. Now, I have OS 1.6.0 installed on my computer but I want to change it to the latest version. I am located in Iran.

**Update to the Update: The GitHub downloads are actually hosted on Amazon's S3 cloud; this is about as globally accessible as you can get. We recommend you try again, and if you still get timeout errors, try using a download manager such as JDownloader to manage the process. A download manager can recover from timeouts, and also can break the download file into smaller chunks, making it more likely to succeed. Good luck!

*Update: I have confirmed with a friend in Iran that there are currently issues getting files from GitHub from there; we will post temporary alternative download links tomorrow. As always, thanks to Mostapha!

Timeout errors can be difficult to diagnose, particularly for international (lots of hops). Assuming you don't get timeouts with other sites, we could try and set up an alternate download location for you to try.

NREL moved OpenStudio downloads to GitHub specifically because of the reliable network they use for hosting, and to avoid the need for ad hoc download locations. It sounds like you got things to work for you eventually, but for future reference we recommend the use of a download manager such as JDownloader.
