Can EnergyPlus be used to test California's Title 24 compliance?

While it's possible to use something like cbecc-com for T24 compliance, that software does not give us much useful information from a design / engineering point of view. Is there an easy way to use EnergyPlus for Title 24 compliance? That way we could use the same model for both.

You have to use one of the software packages on the approved software list for the purpose of T24 compliance. However, CBECC-Com produces an OpenStudio Model and an idf file during the analysis. You will find these files in your CBECC project directory when the analysis is complete. You could copy either of these files and modify them to do a more detailed energy analysis. This is admittedly a one way street. While OpenStudio can export geometry to CBECC it is not possible to export a complete OpenStudio or EnergyPlus energy model at this time

Thanks, very helpful. Thanks for pointing me to the list as well, I see can use IES as well, which another route worth exploring.
