Installation Openstudio 1.7.0

Hi,

I´m trying to install OpenStudio 1.7.0 with sketchup 2015, but when the installation finish occur an error: "32-bit Openstudio is incompatibile with 64-bit Sketchup 2015. The OpenStudio Sketchup Plug-in will not installed". Can You help me?

I already checked and I installed the 32-bit version of sketchup 2015 and OpenStudio 1.7.0.

Thank you

I have added an issue for this in OpenStudio, https://github.com/NREL/OpenStudio/is...

In the mean time you should be able to manually install the plugin by copying files manually as described here, https://unmethours.com/question/1209/...

Would you mind replying to this answer with the directory that SketchUp is installed in? This post indicates that you have to install SketchUp on the C: drive, https://unmethours.com/question/4648/...

Hi,

I couldn't install OpenStudio 1.7.0, I try to install 1.5.0 and I have sucess. One question, in the version 1.5.0 the EnergyPlus is bundled or I have to install separately?

Thanks

This is not really an answer, but a general response to all the 32 bit issues above. I was trying to get this version (1.7.0 32 bit) installed yesterday on a student's laptop that was a 32 bit only machine. I noticed that his C:\ directory only had a "Program Files" folder and no "Program Files (x86)" folder as most 64 bit machines do for 32 bit software installs.

I'm not saying this is it, but I wonder if the 32 bit OS SketchUp plugin installer is looking for that "(x86)" at the end of the "Progam Files" folder to know where to install the plugin. I just presumed that most modern PCs have those two folders anymore.

Again, just my 2 cents.

@nfonner that sounds like a very likely candidate, thanks for the information!
