I've created a Plantcomponent:UserDefined (PCUD) object for a heat storage device using EMS and an example file in EP ( PlantApplicationGuide_Example2.idf). To test the new object I've removed the boiler in the example and modified the associated loop/connexions (Plantloop, branches, nodes, splitters, connectors). The simulation is successful, however now I would like to create a template idf file with the new component (PCUD) in order to have those modifications created automatically, and be able to generalize the use of my PCUD. I know about the HVACTemplate plant objects in EP, however these are a limited list of options ( chillers, boilers, tower etc...), is there a way around creating a HVACtemplate that references my PCUD object?
