Heating/Cooling load without controlling temperature

Hi,

I have an OpenStudio Model and I want to see how the internal temperature reacts based on a certain wattage value of an ideal heating load. In other words, I want to maintain the heating load and let the internal temperature be whatever value based on the thermal model used by EnergyPlus, instead of maintaining a reference temperature.

Is this possible to be done in OpenStudio. If yes, how? Any help is appreciated.

I don't know if I got your intent. You may want to set a scheduled internal heat source (lights, equipment, etc.) in the zone and avoid setting HVAC systems or any setpoints. EnergyPlus will simulate a non-conditioned zone so that you can see the changes in indoor temperature according to the zone heat balance. In the screenshot, I show you how an unconditioned zone should appear in the OpenStudio application.

Thanks for your answer! Looking at the heating gains parameters I/O reference, if those are set to 0, all of the electricity is converted to heat gains, which is exactly what I need!
