BeOpt cannot run an optimization with options selected across mutually exclusive categories...

image description Has anyone else seen this error before and knows how to solve it? I have tried running an optimization with multiple options selected and without any selected. I have restarted the program and I still have the issue. This is using BeOpt 2.8 and EnergyPlus 8.8. Parametric and single design simulations do work.

Thank you in advance!

Answered my own question. You can't have multiple options for the same category. You can't run the different single wall types and also double wall type options (curious as to if anyone knows why). Same applies to mechanical systems where you can't compare air source heat pumps with ground source heat pumps.

That is correct. It's an unfortunate limitation based on how the optimization search technique works. We're looking into whether the limitation can be removed/addressed for the upcoming BEopt v3, but no promises...

Very interesting and thank you for the response. Do you have a sense of when v3 will be rolled out and/or what version of e+ it will use?

We're hoping to release around the end of the year; it will include whatever is the latest E+ version at time of release.
