EnergyPlus Version 9.1.0-08d2e308bb

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could help with this question- which would be greatly appreciated.

I'm generating an idf file using MATLAB (by reading an exisiting IDF file, modifying that file, and then saving it as a new IDF file). However, the new IDF file crashes, as it is an emty text file! In other words, nothing is copied/ saved as the new idf file. The error file simply says:

Also, in the MATLAB Command Window, it says: EnergyPlus, Version 9.1.0-08d2e308bb, YMD=2022.04.08 01:56 **FATAL:Errors occurred on processing input file. Preceding condition(s) cause termination.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks Scott. Actually, the issue was related that MATLAB was not able to copy $ from the old idf to the new one!
