Has anyone done a linear or polynomial regression on the ResStock buildings to predict energy usage? [closed]

I was wondering if it is possible to predict energy usage of a residential building in Denver, for example, with certain features such as size, age, heating fuel source, etc.

The NREL ResStock has thousands of buildings for a given location https://public.tableau.com/app/profil...

But I was wondering if it makes any sense to do this with a linear/ polynomial regression? Anyone know or have tips?
