OpenStudio doesn't work in Sketchup Pro 2021?

I have installed OpenStudio 1.2.0 with Sketchup Pro 2021. However, after the OpenStudio installation, when I go to open a new drawing in Sketchup, it flashes the OpenStudio path dialog box for a second then the box disappears and the Sketchup window is greyed out. The only way to close Sketchup is ending it via task manager. Anyone seen this before? I tried removing OpenStudio completely but Sketchup still pops up the plugin dialog box for a second then greys out.

I am assuming you installed OpenStudio Application 1.2.0 as well as OpenStudio SketchUp Plug-in 1.2.0? Are you using Mac or Windows? Any other extensions installed?

If you uninstall OpenStudio Application and then start SketchUp, the OpenStudio SketchUp Plug-in should prompt you to select the OpenStudio Application directory. You can hit cancel and then uninstall the OpenStudio SketchUp Plug-in using the Extension Manager then restart SketchUp. Afterwards you could re-install OpenStudio Application and the SketchUp Plug-in to try again.

As a note, version 1.2.1 of both the OpenStudio Application and SketchUp Plug-in are now available.

Yes, installed OpenStudio Application 1.2.0, as well as the OpenStudio Sketchup Plugin 1.2.0. Using Windows. I believe a few other extensions are installed but due to the issue my user is experiencing, I can't review the extensions. Even with Openstudio uninstalled, opening Sketchup results in the OpenStudio directory prompt flashing for a second then disappearing, and leaving Sketchup in a hung state. Can't click on anything. Only way to close Sketchup is via Task Manager.

Try going to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2021\SketchUp\Plugins where <user> is your user name and deleting the openstudio folder and openstudio.rbfile. Does that allow SketchUp to start? If so you can try re-installing the OpenStudio SketchUp Plug-in from https://github.com/openstudiocoalitio... or using the SketchUp Extension Warehouse.

Removing the plugin per your instructions allowed Sketchup to start. Still had the same issue after reinstalling. For now we are leaving OpenStudio uninstalled. Thanks for the info!
