Running Create Bar From Space Type Ratios and getting an error on missing construction

I am running Create Bar From Space Type Ratios measure and I am getting an error

* Severe * <root>[BuildingSurface:Detailed][Surface 1] - Missing required property 'construction_name'. * Severe * <root>[FenestrationSurface:Detailed][Sub Surface 1] - Missing required property 'construction_name'. * Fatal * Errors occurred on processing input file. Preceding condition(s) cause termination.

The measure says we need to run an empty model and there is no argument to define the Construction in the measure, what can I do?image description

That measure makes geometry with stub space types. constructions, schedules, and internal loads need to be added by downstream measures. You need to describe your workflow in more detail for me to troubleshoot. Specifically did you include create typical model from building measure, and what are the space types in your model, target standard, and climate zone.

@David Goldwasser , I am using Create bar from space type ratios measure with the default values, I am able to run the measure after assigning the construction set, But there are no schedules for the loads specified for my building type, and looking at the bcl i could not find any schedules measure. So I want to examine the energy consumption based on different configuration of the building like same area but different no of floors etc for a specific building type which measure would you recommend to get these different configuration for a building.

There is a family of "create_bar" measures. While most of them take in one or more building types and create space types ratios based on the DOE or DEER prototypes. The version you refer to is a more customizable to allow users to provide a custom mix of space types from one or more building types. But like the others it is typically use with a measure prior to this one setting the climate zone, and one after to populate the stub geometry. Create bar from model is an exception where more geometry, load and construction inputs are harvested from the model passed in.

What you are describing is expected, that coming out of this measure there are no constructions, schedules, loads, or for example SWH, exhaust, exterior lights, refrigeration, etc. The create_typical family of measures uses OpenStudio standards to populate the stub geometry.
