Type of zone sum to use

Hi,

I would appreciate it if someone could help me with the "Type of zone sum to use" field in the "Sizing:System" option. There are two selections available for this option (i.e., coincident and noncoincident). I am wondering what are the differences btw these two options and what systems characteristics should I expect to change using each item?

Best, Mohammad

I believe coincident and noncoincident refer to the airflows in parallel branches of the airloop occurring at the same time or at different times. For a central air system you may have one or more zones on the demand side of the loop that are receiving conditioned air; my hunch is that it is related to splitting branches either on the supply side or demand side.
