Modelling a solar integrated roof (BiPV) in Trnsys

Hello, I need to model a solar integrated roof (BiPV) in Trnsys. Copper, indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) thin film cells on an ultra-thin stainless steel substrate, heat and vacuum welded directly onto a pre-painted steel or aluminium roof panel. Can you please suggest how to model this system and what Type of Trnsys to use? Thank you for your help.

I would start with various BiPV models in the TESS Electrical Component Library and select the one most appropriate for the physics in your system. If necessary you may need to modify the source code of one of the components to better match your system.

Hi, thanks for the input. I'm trying to model the system with two different types: 567-2 and 563-8 but I still can't find the right configuration :(

If the components do not allow for your situation, then you will need to modify the source code for the component model. This is one of the strengths of using TRNSYS. See the Programmers Guide volume of the documentation set for instructions on creating your own components.
