However, I am trying to achieve something a bit different. I want to perform an annual simulation where I have 12 different HVAC setpoints (temperature and humidity values) for 12 different months, basically varied setpoint values over the year

With the "2-Detailed HVAC Data" option, you can create a schedule containing setpoint temperatures (in °C) in the "Edit Zone Group" dialogue. In the schedule, you can have different temperatures for each month.
