Finnish sudatory

Hello, I have to model of a Finnish sauna (dry bulb temp =90°C, RH=10%). Heat is produced in cabins where people stay. Could I model:

  1. heat production,

  2. heat losses through the envelope of the cabin,

  3. air exchange through a dedicated air system?

Or shall calculate the behavior of the sauna externally and import the results in EnergyPlus as internal gains (e.g. through the object ElectricEquipment)?

Best Regards

Francesco

This sounds like a very basic energy model that could be done in E. The only tricky thing about it would be modeling the impact of users opening the doors. Definitely make use of the airflow network if there are changing rooms in the model since this would temper the impact of outdoor air infiltration via the doors.

Thank you. When you say "a very basic energy model that could be done in E", do you mean that I shall model the cabins as zones or shall I use a particular object of EnergyPlus? With Regards
