should i add shading surface group for each space or i can add one for all spaces

when i simulate a floor should i make a shading surface group for each space or it is enough to draw a shading surface group for whole geometry at once ? which one is more correct and accurate?

and when should i draw shadding surface ? after matching geometry surfaces or before ? thanks in advance

According to this post (note that this is 3 years old), you can assign all shading surfaces to a single shading group. The main reason you would use different shading groups within one OpenStudio model would be to:

You should know that external shading surfaces like overhangs and fins will only affect the model if the Solar Distribution input field of the Building object includes external surface interactions. You can read more about that here.
