How to merge two different open studio models into one single open studio model?

I'm currently using 2.9.1 version openstudio app and sketch up 2017. I have gone through previous answers posted by instructors and users. There is no experimental work flow in 2.9.1 openstudio app,so this method is invalid and later on i tried next method i.e. copy and paste, still problem persists.I have created four floors as openstudio model separtely and now just want to stack all the floors in one openstudio model. I tried combining third and fourth floor but was not sucessful in doing that.Openstudio inspector shows only one 3rd floor. Kindly, help me to resolve this problem

I think the "Merge Spaces From External Model" user script is what you are looking for. It is demonstrated in this YouTube video. It can be used to merge in updated geometry for spaces already in your model, and can merge in new spaces that only exist in the external model.

There is also a "Merge Spaces from External File" measure that has similar function that can be used outside of SketchUp. The measure has more features than the user script, it has options to control which model space attributes are from and can import or ignore internal loads and schedules from the external model. There is some work on a branch to pull in mechanical systems as well.

With due respect, i think you misunderstood my problem. I have created four floors of same building in separate open studio model to avoid any geometrical and surface error. Luckily, till now my model is error free. Now, i want to combine all the floors to make a building with four floors and start surface matching and proceed further. So, i particularly want the solutions for that. Kindly, guide me its important for my research work.I want to combine all these floors.

Open the model for one of your floors, and then run Merge Spaces from External Model user script three times, once each for the other floors. If you had not already used z offset for the other stories you will need to do that as well. I would suggest doing it prior to merging them instead of after. I would save this model as another name so you still have a clean version of the floor you initially opened.

I use to solve these problems with the sketchup tool: "paste in place". I open a new sketchup application instance, cut the problematic spaces from the original model and "paste in place" them in the new model. I solve the problems and return the spaces to the original model, using again, the "paste in place" tool.
