I am trying to understand the thermal zone load breakdown in EnergyPlus so I created a simple box office building in OpenStudio, with adiabatic interior walls. For the design day I used 12 months design days. There are two things I cannot explain 1- The negative sensible load from the roof and exposed slab even when the outside air temperature is higher from the zone setpoint. 2- The negative load from the interior walls however the interior walls are adiabatic.
