Which Solar Distribution method does OpenStudio use?

When viewing the OpenStudio-generated IDF, I noticed that no Solar Distribution method was selected and I could not find information on which option, if any, is used by default. I'm assuming that solar height gains are being modeled somehow (?). Is this configured in the Radiance Parameters or is Radiance only used for daylighting/totally decoupled from solar heat gain calculations?

@jbatt, I didn't see anything about a default in the input output reference for this field, however looking at the Energy+.idd full exterior appears to be the default when nothing is entered.
