Can you use load data and model a plant separately in E+?

Hi all,

I am dealing with an energy model where we have a pretty complex plant, using a bunch of different heating, cooling, and thermal sharing technologies and staging the equipment based on when it is most efficient to use it.

We have intially modeled the building in IES-VE. My question is, can we use energy plus to model the plant with 8760 heating/cooling loads from IES-VE?

Thanks

You can use the LoadProfile:Plant object to feed a scheduled load and flow rate to the plant. The schedule can be a year of measured or simulated data.

LoadProfile:Plant,
Used to simulate a scheduled plant loop demand profile. Load and flow rate are
specified using schedules. Positive values are heating loads, and negative values are
cooling loads. The actual load met is dependent on the performance of the supply
   loop components.
