How to Model Fan Powered Boxes with VFDs?

Is there a way to model a fan powered box with a Fan:VariableVolume in EnergyPlus? The input/output guide for AirTerminal:SingleDuct:ParallelPIU:Reheat shows it is currently only possible in EnergyPlus 9.0 to use Fan:ConstantVolume or Fan:SystemModel. FPBs commonly use VFDs such as the Price FDV5.

This feature is not available in EnergyPlus yet (v9.1). I see you posted a new feature request, issue #7311. Hint: Voting up new feature issues (thumbs-up reaction) helps with prioritizing.
